Porta de Celeirós D'Oiro Great Reserve White 2022

Porta Celeirós D'Oiro Grande Reserva White 2022 is a very special wine for us as it has been considered in one of the highest wine categories.

It is made from Viosinho, Rabigato and Fernão Pires grape varieties and the grapes come from new vineyards in the Cima Corgo sub-region.

These grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible in small buckets so that they don't get crushed before entering the press and dry ice is used to prevent unwanted oxidation.

The whole fermentation process then takes place at a controlled temperature and finally it is aged for 6 months in new and used French oak barrels. During the barrel ageing period, Bâtonnage is carried out, a process through which the desired aromas and flavors are obtained for the final structure of the wine.

On the nose, the wine has notes of minerality, ripe fruit such as grapefruit and subtle hints of wood. On the palate it is fresh, elegant, fruity and has a long, persistent finish.
